Terms of Service
Last updated: September 3, 2026
PrayerPass ("PrayerPass," "we," "us," or "our") is an independently operated website — it is not a company, LLC, or nonprofit, just an individually run service. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of prayerpass.org (the "Site"). By visiting the Site, creating an account, or submitting any content, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Who Can Use PrayerPass
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or submit a prayer request, praise report, salvation story, or support message. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Site.
Our Content Creator and Writer programs are open to applicants 18 years of age or older only, regardless of the general 13+ minimum above.
Your Content
PrayerPass lets you submit prayer requests, praise reports, salvation stories, and support messages ("Your Content"). If you're an approved Creator or Writer, Your Content also includes your profile photo and bio and, for Writers, the text of stories you write for the Site. You own what you submit. By submitting Your Content, you give PrayerPass a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and moderate it for the purpose of operating the Site — for example, showing an approved prayer request on the public Prayer Wall or a Writer's story on the Stories page.
PrayerPass does not host or store video or photo content that Creators post on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube. The Creators/Writers page only displays a Creator's name, bio, photo, and links out to their profiles and posts on those platforms — that content always stays on, and is governed by, the platform it was posted to.
You're responsible for what you submit. Don't post anything that:
- Is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, or defamatory;
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with someone;
- Contains someone else's private information without their consent;
- Solicits money, donations, or personal information from other users;
- Is spam, an advertisement, or unrelated to the Site's purpose; or
- Infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
Public submissions (prayer requests, praise reports, salvation stories) are reviewed by our staff before they appear anywhere on the Site. We may approve, reject, edit for length or clarity, or remove any content at our discretion, including content that's already been approved.
Not Professional Help
PrayerPass is a community space for prayer and encouragement. It is not a substitute for professional medical care, mental health treatment, or pastoral counseling, and our staff are not licensed counselors or medical professionals.
If you or someone you know is in crisis or experiencing a medical or safety emergency, please contact emergency services immediately by calling 911 (US), or reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 (available 24/7 in the US). Do not rely on PrayerPass, or any response you may or may not receive here, in an emergency.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away at privacy@prayerpass.org if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, and remove content, that violate these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.
No Warranty
The Site is provided "as is." We take reasonable security precautions (see our Privacy Policy), but like any online service, we can't guarantee the Site will be completely secure, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we aren't responsible for the accuracy of content submitted by other users.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrayerPass is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, or from content posted by other users.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
